Ashford & St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Established in 1998 from the merger of Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals, the Trust has been on a long journey of development and improvement to its current position as the largest provider of acute hospital services to Surrey residents. It became a Foundation Trust in December 2010.
Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of more than 410,000 people living in the boroughs of Runnymede, Spelthorne, Woking and parts of Elmbridge, Hounslow, Surrey Heath and beyond. The Trust employs around 3,800 individual members of staff. Our turnover was £335.6 million in 2018/19.
The Trust provides a whole range of services across its hospital sites. The majority of planned care, like day case and orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation services, is provided at Ashford Hospital, with more complex medical and surgical care and emergency services at St Peter’s Hospital.

We held our annual Quality Improvement (QI) event at St Peter’s Hospital. The theme of the day was #improvementisgoodforyou, looking at how QI directly affects the wellbeing of not only our patients, but staff within the Trust. St Peter’s Hospital opened its doors to welcome local people to their second Community Open Day on Saturday 15 July 2023; the first one since the Covid-19 pandemic. The day was an outstanding success, with visitors of all ages attending and a fantastic atmosphere created throughout the Trust.

Grounding in nature has been proved to lower blood pressure. Our green spaces are crucial for good health.
Can I ask what criteria you have to meet to get treated at the hospital then as I’ve been to you emergency care and still not been treated . I quote told unless I get sepsis note classed as an emergency by one of your surgical team . So my question is do you have to die or nearly die to qualify for treatment mine is now 6 months with an open wound leaking gastric fluid and blood And still waiting to be treated but I’ve phoned and emailed pals and still no one has come back to me
So true I can attest to those compliments one of the best places I have ever worked , the staff is warm, lovely, friendly and supportive, I am fortunate to be a part of this wonderful team.
